Hola, como andan?
I'm glad you liked my letter last week, you're right that it was definitely one of the crazier ones. The Gilbert temple looks amazing, I can't believe I'm going to miss the dedication of the temple in my home town!! Ahhh. But it sounds like it's been insane trying to get everything ready! I hope it all turns out great and you can take that week long nap haha. I'll take one too when I get back! And mom, nice job handling crazy questions like that from your work friend about the church. Honestly I've never had any experiences with people that have questions like that. I think it's because the church isn't that well-known here and so there aren't as many rumors, or maybe they just don't care enough or don't want to ask us missionaries their questions. Luckily the Lord loves me enough to put me in a place where we don't necessarily get interrogated like that very much. I hope that the open house goes well though and they can feel the spirit inside the temple. I know what you mean though when you say that you desperately need the temple. Imagine not being able to go for almost a year! I hope you feel better though.
This week was cray but not as much as the last one. We didn't end up going to trapiche last monday, but we're planning on going next week! To explain what happened in the picture, we officially got PIOJOS aka LICE. Well technically the other hermanas (Hatch & Reyes) did but the nurse made the four of us stay home all day on Tuesday to do a shampoo treatment (as seen in the photos). and then we had to wash everything- by hand- too. The next day we were at a lesson with the crazy family that talks so much, and they fed us empanadas and soda that made me sick, and so we had to go home early because I felt like crap! The rest of the week was relatively drama free except for a few storms that freaked out the other hermanas and ripped out a ton of trees all over La Punta and down town in San Luis too. Luckily this Sunday was a lot less stressful and though our investigators didn't come to church, the less active family that we're working with did!! La familia Quiroga. We've been working with them for about a month. What helped them the most to get back to church was a family night that they had with a family in the branch from Buenos Aires who are awesome and they invited our eternal investigator's family too! I guess they talked about the book of mormon and now both families have started reading it again! It's the best when members help us out with the work.
Other than that there's not a bunch to tell. I'm doing great with my comp even though the area is kind of stressful at the moment. Time is flying by too- I can't believe I'm almost at my year mark..! So weird. I love you guys and hope you have a great week!

| I'll explain: Thursday morning we're walking back to the pench from an appointment when I find this little guy on the side of the road. Knowing me you probs won't find it suprising that I picked it up and took it home- obviously I couldn't pass up the opportunity to play a prank on the other hermanas who were out working still. As shown in the pic, I took la vibora and put it right outside the back door and tried to make it look like it was alive. When the hermanas got home a few minutes later I told them that their clothes that were hung up outside had fallen on the ground, and then my comp and I pulled out our cameras to record the reactions. Just as we'd hoped, they both screamed and freaked out, and I have it on video but you'll have to wait a few months to be able to see it (: |
